Silvereel recently posted an interesting guide to roleplaying in Middle-earth on the Turbine Forums. This guide provides a perspective on some "canon" background information to help roleplayers craft characters and storylines conforming with Middle-earth lore in Lord of the Rings Online. While most of the tips focus on the main races (Dwarves, Hobbits, Men, and Elves), Silvereel also shares some suggestions on language and religion in Middle-earth. Silvreeel was kind enough to grant us permission to republish the Guide to Middle-earth Role Play and suggested that there may be an update by the end of the week. Enjoy! |

Preview Server Roheryn has been taken temporarily offline following the Book 13 update, due to reports of corrupted character data. The earliest the server will be back up is late Thursday, and it may take longer than that.

The most anticipated aspect of the latest free content update, Doom of the Last-king, is likely Forochel. These new region is a vast, desolate and COLD landscape which boasts over 100 new quests, enhanced solo play, an extension to the epic story, and a new reputation faction: the Lossoth. The Lossoth faction rewards include unique armor sets, cloaks, and cooking recipes that can mitigate the area’s punishing chill, as well as Lossoth pets/companions, home decorations, and a BRAND NEW TUNDRA PONY. |
